Guidelign Clear Aligners
The Guidelign aligners are the perfect solution to the imperfectly aligned teeth. They are customised for you and specially designed by our expert dentists to straighten your teeth. They are transparent, removable, and give the same results as traditional braces.
Each case consists of multiple Guidelign aligners. Your first aligner corresponds to your current teeth position and the subsequent aligners are modified in such a way that your teeth start aligning slowly as you go on wearing the aligners and finally the last aligner will give you the perfect outcome.
Our aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free german plastic that won't irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces often do.
After obtaining your intraoral scans, our team of orthodontists will analyse it. If they feel aligners are not suitable or suggest some other way of teeth straightening is more suitable for your case then you are not a candidate.
Yes, keep the used aligners in respective packets. In some rare cases, the orthodontist might ask you to switch to a previous aligner in case the movement isn’t happening as planned.
Cleaning the aligners is easy. Just wash them under running water with a mild soap. This can be done multiple times a day as well. Strictly avoid using hot water as it can damage the aligners.
You can store your aligners only inside the aligner case provided to you in your aligner kit.
Yes, you should wear your aligners ESPECIALLY while sleeping.
You will get your aligner kit during your first appointment at our Guidelign partner clinic.
We will start manufacturing your aligners only after you give your approval on the virtual simulation video of your treatment.
No, you cannot eat while wearing your aligners but you can remove them, keep them in your aligner case and eat whatever you want, whenever you want. Just remember to wear them back once you are done eating.
You can drink water and other beverages that don’t leave stain. Please avoid coloured beverages as they can stain your aligners and they won’t be transparent anymore. Also avoid hot beverages as they can deform your aligners.
Treatment process
Once, we obtain your intraoral scans, our team of orthodontists will create a video showing your teeth movement from start to end. Watching this, you will be able to visualize your final teeth position and how your new smile looks even before starting the treatment.
Simply because your bite has to be aligned to get that perfect smile.
Treatment duration depends on complexity of case. It can range between 2 -3 months for very simple cases to up to 14 - 15 months for complex cases.
Attachments are the points where pressure is being exerted by the aligners to ensure teeth are moving in desired angle and direction and that the teeth are beginning to develop the desired arrangement.
If an aligner is lost by you, you can simply order a new one by contacting us and sharing the number of aligner lost.
In case things don't go as planned, just give us a call and we will arrange a consultation with our orthodontist at our partner clinic. Our orthodontist will re-examine you and change the treatment strategy to enable proper teeth movement.
Yes, you are required to wear a retainer after treatment is over so the treatment doesn’t get relapsed, but that is only for a short time.
The results can be seen after 4 - 5 weeks but this period differs from case to case as everyone has a different complexity and structure of the teeth which needs to be corrected.
You must stick to the schedule provided to you with your aligner kit and change the aligners as per schedule only.
You have to wear the aligners for 20 - 22 hours daily.
No. Strictly follow the schedule for your aligners and do not skip the aligners.
